The reverse fixture against Cambridge Musketeers is at Bourn, kick-off 12:30. Please arrive by 12. The U12's are on before us so you may want to park in the Doctors' surgery. It is very important that you let Martin know if you are available or not so that he knows whether we will have a) enough players, or b) too many players (max of 16 is allowed at a match).

We have raised £116.41 from teas and coffees so far this season. We also have a £25 WHSmiths gift voucher won at the quiz night. Please have a think about how you would like to spend the money and also how you would like to be involved.

Finally, could you let Martin know if you plan to go to the Cottenham tournament on the 25 May.

As well as playing Balsham on 10 February, please note our re-arranged fixture against Stretham on Tuesday 15 April, which will be an evening kick-off. As soon as it arranged the Barhill Fixture date will be published and you shall be notified.

Liz Sexton is stepping down as treasurer of Comberton Crusaders at the end of this season as her son moves out of the top end of the age groups. So the club needs to find a new treasurer. If a parent thinks they could commit to this role the club would love to hear from you. As you can imagine the club cannot function without a treasurer.

We have a home game after a long absence on Sunday against Stretham. Kick-off is at 10:30. Please arrive before 10am as it is important we get an extended warm up for this match. Don't forget to use the surgery car park if you can.

Our next game is away to Balsham, kick-off 10:30. They play at Balsham Rec, which is off Church Lane. Coming from Linton, turn left in the centre of the village where the High St bends right.

06 November 2007

Our next game is away to Histon on the 18 November in the Tesco cup. Kick-off is at 10:30. They play at Histon Rec. Take the B1049 Histon Road and turn right at the sign for Impington and then right again almost immediately into the Rec car park (before you get to the BUPA hospital). It is recommended that you arrive early as the car park gets very full. I would also like everyone to turn up early at 9:45 so that we have plenty of time to warm up since Histon are in division A. 

There is no game this week as Lakenheath are in the Suffolk cup.

We are away at Bar Hill on Sunday. Before you get to the Tesco roundabout turn left at the Fox pub and follow the road to the end. The ground is at the school, next to the library. There is some parking at the school or alternatively park at Tesco's and walk through.Kick-off is at 10:30. Please be in plenty of time for the warm-up.

30 September 2007 - PARKING REMINDER

We have received some complaints from the people who live along the drive leading to Bourn Rec that some cars have blocked their entrance. In order to be good neighbours, I would like to request that CC parents park at the Bourn Surgery, especially if you arrive after 10am. It is easier for us find alternative parking than asking the away supporters to do it.

Our opponents on Sunday, Lakenheath, play in the village of Eriswell. At the Barton Mills roundabout, take the A1065 towards Lakenheath. After about 2 miles turn left at a crossroads to Eriswell. Follow the road around a sharp right-hand bend, passed the church and there should be a gravel track on your left-hand side. If you pass the Chequers pub on your r.h.s you have gone too far. 

Kick-off is at 11am to allow a bit longer to get there.

Our home match this Sunday is at Bourn Rec, kick-off 10:30. As usual be there by 10am. I will have to make decision later in the week as to who I ask to leave out. Let me know if you are away.Could you all please wear your kit on Thursday to the astropitch at 6:45pm. Adrian is going to try again to take our pictures for the website.

We have the opportunity to extend our training slot beyond 1 hour. I propose to end training at 8pm if parents are in agreement.

Our first match of the season is away at Waterbeach Colts, kick-off 10:30. Please arrive by 10am for the warm up. The postcode is CB25 9NJ. From the A10 turn right at the Slap Up and follow Cambridge Road, passed the first left and look for a lane on the r.h.s. If you reach the Beach Social Club you have gone too far. For your information, our matches are now 35 minutes each way.

Also a reminder that we have a friendly at Bourn tomorrow night (Wednesday) kick off 6pm. Hope to see you all there. Please wear your kit. I have kit for the new guys as well.
